This two session, one day workshop is geared towards the everyday yogi as well as the weekender yogi just looking to bring a little balance to all their other activities. We’ll cover a little bit of information about shoulder girdles and core bio-mechanics to help individuals understand some of the postural trends they might be experiencing and cover a few great tricks on the mat for helping your shoulders make it through whatever you have planned for them next. These topics and exercises are also great for simply adding a little longer lifespan to your healthy function and movement (related to your shoulders).
Adam Ballenger works as an Exercise Therapist at the Live Well Center an Intermountain Healthcare Facility. Adam is also a long-time yoga enthusiast who has traveled and taught yoga trainings in several countries across Europe, Central and South America, China and Taiwan to. One of the specialties Adam is often invited to present and train on is Yoga Anatomy & Biomechanics, commonly related to yoga therapeutics

If you only know Adam from Yoga classes or Workshops, then you might not have worked with him One on One, or had the chance to utilize all those great techniques from Trainings, in your personally developed home practice. In Salt Lake City, you can work in-person with Adam Ballenger directly as a Yoga Private, as a Personal Training Session, Private or Small Group Meditation, in-studio, at-home, and in some cases - at the gym. With Adam's first job as a Health Coach and Personal Trainer when he was just 19, his undergraduate B.S. in Exercise Physiology, and his most recent work on his Masters of Science in Kinesiology and Orthopedic Rehabilitation, as well as numerous certifications and trainings over the years, as a Medical Exercise Specialist, or a Functional Movement Specialist, or a Personal Trainer, just to name a few, Adam's reach in one on one work is pretty deep and broad. Adam has over 30 years in the health and fitness industry, that includes classic concepts on fitness and exercise, as well as modern science on Corrective Exercise training, and as always, stress management, mindfulness and yoga.
During the Pandemic and while not traveling, Adam has taken on more one on one work. Some of this has been virtual and online and some of this (here in Salt Lake city) have been in-person. The focus of individual session has ranged from Corrective Exercise (working with movement dysfunction and posture issues), Stress Management, Health & Fitness and more.
